"Lovely light lunch, we had the steak tartare, gnocci, ciabatta, and potatoes. Was perfect to share between 2, slightly pricy but everything was delicious and great quality. Our table had a unique view of wine barrels which was a fun touch."

Highly recommend this lovely restaurant, with attentive staff, a very talented and friendly chef and top class produce. The sauce served with the duck skewers is inspired! "Had an amazing lunch! They were so accommodating to mum in a wheelchair and treated her with so much respect! The food was incredible and fairly priced! Coffee was amazing! Service from jasmine and Sarah was incredible and made us feel so welcomed! Highly recommend!"

"We had a surprisingly lovely meal at The Wood restaurant on a whim last Sunday. We showed up with no booking and they easily seated my family, made up of two adults and four kids. The kids were no issue at all for the staff and despite initial skepticism from the kids regarding the slighted more elevated kids menu (gasp, no chicken and chips!), all my kids surprised themselves and me with how much they enjoyed the food. My husband and I had the Feed Me menu which was fantastic value at $95 a head - with seven or so courses it felt like a much fancier degustation and we ending up taking home half of our main, definitely not short on food. It felt like this option could be adjusted slightly to taste as well so make sure to consider it! All in all, a lovely Sunday out, thank you."

"Our experience at The Wood restaurant continues to impress and over deliver expectation. The food, service and atmosphere moving from a tasting at the cellar door to lunch is seamless and immensely enjoyable. The Executive Chef Sean is engaging and showcases the best of regional produce. The beef over fire was simply outstanding. We look forward to returning to this Hunter gem."

"We had dinner at the wood restaurant last night and it was unbelievable. Originally we wanted to try the lamb which was sold out. So we opted for the T-bone steak instead with potatoes, salad and broccoli. We also got the mushrooms with black aioli to start. All of this was delicious and the best meal we’ve had in ages! Highly recommend for any occasion."
